[tab name=”History”]

C & C Metal Products has began on a pushcart in Lower East Side of New York City over 100 years ago and has been family owned and operated ever since . By 1914 the business was established as the leading supplier to apparel manufacturers, developing a reputation for catering to customers needs and offering innovating new products. It was not long before the business expanded to decorative metal buttons by acquiring a Connecticut bullet manufacturing factory and converting the stamping equipment to create new and creative button styles.

Multiple generations of family leadership continued the excellent tradition of customer focus and innovation which led to continued growth. They expanded the business through acquisition and development to additionally serve the footwear, leather goods, jewelry, accessories and upholstery trades.

C & C Metal Products is now owned operated by third generation family members who successfully expanded the business through continued customer focus, international expansion and acquisition of product lines and new technologies for manufacturing to cater to even more of our customers requirements. They strive to improve the business and are joined by 4th generation family members to continue the tradition.

[tab name=”Material Compliance Information”]

C & C Metal Products is pleased to provide the information below which certifies the low lead content of the raw materials that we use in the fabrication of our products. We update this information on a regular basis to provide assurances to our customers that our metal components, and therefore their finished products, can meet the less than 100 PPM lead requirements as dictated by the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 enacted by the Consumer Products Safety Commission.

The information on this sheet is valid for purchases made as of August 1st, 2011. The information is not valid on purchases made from inventory that were manufactured prior to August 1st, 2011.

According to the American Society of Testing & Manufacturing (ASTM), an independent and international standards development organization, the following maximum percentage of lead trace elements in the materials used in manufacturing our products are as follows:

Base Materials:

The Steel we use contains no significant trace elements of lead – 100% completely lead free for all intents and purposes.

The Zinc we use for our castings (ZN-3) may contain a maximum of 0.004 % lead content (40 ppm). It should be noted that on recent test certifications done on our shipments, the lead content was 0.0015% (15 ppm) on one lot, and 0.0016% (16 ppm) on a second lot. (this would be more typical of our zinc shipments).

The Brass Strip we use identified as 230; classified as red brass, and brass strip identified as 260; classified as yellow brass, both contain a maximum of .01% (100 ppm) lead content.

The Brass Wire we use has a maximum allowable lead content 100 ppm; however recent shipments have been tested at less than 10 ppm. (This would be more typical of our Brass wire shipments).

Electroplate Coatings:

The Copper Anodes & Nickel Anodes used in plating copper & nickel are 99.999% pure copper & nickel. Therefore their can only be a maximum amount of trace elements (not necessarily lead) of 0.001% (10 ppm).

The Brass Anodes used in plating brass contain no significant trace elements of lead. There is a maximum allowable content of 0.02 ppm (less than 1 ppm) trace elements of lead.

The Gold used in plating some of our finishes contains a maximum 0.000073% (less than 1 ppm) trace elements of lead.

Finishing Treatments:

The Clear Lacquer used to coat some of our finishes contain no significant trace elements of lead – 100% lead free for all intents and purposes.

The ENE Brown Dip and Electroblack SG used to darken specific metal finishes are lead free.

There is no lead added or in any of the constituents which comprise the All Black 400 used in the Colonial Nickel finish.

There is no lead added or in any of the constituents which comprise the Tin Immersion #1 used in our Nickel Free finishes.

Any Paint and or Clear or Antique Lacquer we use in coating our products are lead free.

C & C Metal Products has been a leading supplier of metal components and finished products throughout the world for almost 100 years. In continuing with our tradition of excellent service, innovative solutions and outstanding quality, we have adjusted our materials to be in compliance with our customer’s needs and will continue to do so as new regulations come into effect.

[tab name=”Custom Capabilities”]

C&C Metal Products offers our customers a totally vertically integrated metal-forming solution. From initial design consultation to various forms of finished metal products, C&C provides a custom solution to meet customer requirements. We welcome the opportunity to review customers’ drawings and assist them in developing the most cost-effective design and manufacturing method. Whether an application calls for a progressively tooled stamping, a wire formed approach, or a zinc die-cast solution, C&C Metals has the engineering and manufacturing expertise, in-house tool and mold building, prototyping, and finishing facilities to meet your needs. We are committed to providing the same quick response and ISO-9000 certified quality products that we have been providing to our customers for over 95 years.

Design Engineering Services

We can start the design process with a hand sketch or a formal electronic drawing. We utilize solid modeling programs to communicate information to our state-of-the-art CAD machining equipment. Our experienced engineering and tooling staff can collaborate with customers to achieve the most cost-effective design.

To prove out our customers’ designs, we can quickly provide small quantities of fabricated stamped and wire formed prototype parts utilizing soft tooling. We similarly provide prototype die-cast parts using rubber molding technologies.

Custom Stamping

For over ninety-five years, C&C Metals has been providing its customers with precision stamped products. We have over 50 presses with maximum 90 Ton capacity capable of forming parts as large as 5” X 5”. Precision stamped parts with tolerances of + .003″

Materials include brass, stainless steel, aluminum, copper and phosphor bronze.

Tool Room

Our experienced in-house tooling and mold makers have lent their skills to the fabrication of thousands of intricate tools and molds. Quality and state-of the art technology are the key reasons why thousands of customers from around the world continue to purchase products from us. Using the latest Wire EDM, CAD equipment and CNC machinery, we look forward to getting your project underway.

Die Cast Zinc Parts

We produce the highest quality die cast zinc parts taking advantage of the unique characteristics of zinc. Parts made from Zinc exhibit superior mechanical properties including tensile and impact strength, and high dimensional stability of + .002” even in the most complex shapes and designs. In addition, the low melting point of zinc provides for relatively lower fabrication and maintenance costs along with longer life of the required molding dies. Multiple cavity molds are used achieve increased capacity and cost efficiencies. Maximum capacity for our die-casting machines is 150 Tons Presses, capable of manufacturing parts up to approximately 5” X 5”. Typical Wall thicknesses are .040”, but .020” thickness can be achieved depending upon part design.

Characteristics of zinc die casted parts using Zamak#3:

Tensile Strength psi X 103 41
Elongation % in 2” 10
Hardness Brinell (@500kg) 82
Specific Gravity 6.5
Impact Strength ft-lb 432

Wire Forming

We perform both wire and strip forming of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. We have over 20 four-slide and multi-slide machines which utilize material from 16 Gauge (.062”) up to 3 Gauge (.243”).

Decorative and Non-decorative Plating and Finishing Operations

While our many standard product lines literally reflect our impressive decorative plating skills, we also utilize our plating and finishing process to achieve other customer requirements. Through proper selection of plating and finishes, customers can achieve many performance objectives include corrosion inhibition, improved solderability, surface-hardening, reduced friction and wear, improved paint adhesion, and altered conductivity.

We provide a wide range of plating and finishes including:
